The famous Opera of Bengal is back in Australia. Melbourne, the cultural capital of Australia will witness solo performance of the Indian Opera Noti Binodini on the 30th October 2010 at Drum Theatre in Dandenong. This will be a charity drive to raise fund for Vedanta Centre of Sydney and Melbourne chapters. The production team consists of performers and technicians from India and Australia. Syd-Kol has laid a milestone in terms of cultural exchange between Australia and India. A grand theatre production was staged in the historic Star Theatre in Kolkata. The classic Bengali drama Noti Binodini (click here for the complete story) was staged to mark 125 years of Professional Bengali Theatre in Kolkata(Calcutta).

The evening witnessed almost a houseful auditorium. The effort and presentation was appreciated by the theatre loving people of this city which has an extremely rich cultural heritage. The show ended on a very positive note, leaving the audience craving for more.
